To ensure that our Council takes strong action on climate change and urgently develops and implements a Climate Emergency Action Plan, we recommend electing Robbie Nyaguy, Katherine Copsey and Geoffrey Conaghan.
The Ratepayers of Port Phillip group (RoPP) has stated its intention of cutting Council’s rate income by 30% over the next four years. They oppose further Council expenditure on environmental sustainability programs. Their candidate in this ward is Christina Sirakoff. Candidate Adrian Jackson is also a RoPP member and we advise against voting for RoPP or the supporting Liberal candidate, Andrew Bond. The current Liberal Councillors have consistently voted against Council’s environmental sustainability programs.
