To ensure that our Council takes strong action on climate change and

urgently develops and implements a Climate Emergency Action Plan, we

recommend electing candidates including Tim Baxter, Louise Crawford, Dick Gross, Maddy Blay and Lesley G. Pianella.

The Ratepayers of Port Phillip group (RoPP) has stated its intention of cutting Council’s rate income by 30% over the next four years. They oppose further Council expenditure on environmental sustainability programs; their candidate in this ward is Rhonda Clark. Candidates Warwick Cahir and Jo McDonald are also Liberal members, and we advise against supporting Liberal candidates, given the position of the current Liberal Councillors who have consistently voted against Council’s environmental sustainability programs.
